This 35 minute yoga video for back pain helps alleviate tension and stiffness in the muscles of the back and surrounding areas, such as the shoulders, hips and hamstrings.
Since the entire body is so intricately connected, tension in one group of muscles can indirectly cause pain in another.
An example of this is a person who is experiencing extreme back pain due to excessively tight hips or a weak core.
So, the root cause of pain, such as back pain in this case, may not be stemming from the exact location where you are experiencing the pain.
As a result, it is crucial to not isolate muscle groups in attempt to relieve pain. In fact, this can do more harm than good.
For example, if the problem is really poor posture, you would not want to loosen up the upper back muscles even more as that would most likely only further worsen the problem by increasing slouching even more.
So, in this video, we will target the back muscles as well as the muscle groups surrounding the back to alleviate back pain.
